HISTORY
Established in 2022, Anchored Girls Mentorship emerged from a collective desire to empower and uplift young women and girls in our community. Since its inception, it has blossomed into a catalyst for healthy sisterhood and community, and a beacon of support, providing invaluable guidance and opportunities for personal, spiritual, and professional growth to girls from diverse backgrounds.

Our mission is to empower, equip, and serve as an anchor to young women and girls, especially from minority and underserved communities.

By way of our strategically curated program curriculum, Anchored Girls Mentorship educates, inspires, and supports young women and girls as they discover and explore their unique purpose and the impact they have on their families, communities, and the world around them.
ABOUT LAURYN A BROWN
As the Founder and CEO/Executive Director of Anchored Girls Mentorship, Miss Lauryn is a visionary leader dedicated to empowering young women and girls, especially those from minority and underserved backgrounds. With experience as an educator in the urban public school systems of Detroit, MI, and Toledo, OH, a leader and advocate for women of faith on college campuses, and a local and foreign missionary aiding victims of human trafficking and individuals suffering from homelessness, Miss Lauryn recognizes the critical need for a platform fostering empowerment and servant-leadership. Her passion led to the establishment of Anchored Girls Mentorship, which has become a transformative force, inspiring young women and girls to overcome barriers, pursue their God-given purpose, and become servant-leaders in their communities. Her strategic guidance and tireless advocacy allow the organization to continue shaping a brighter, more equitable future for generations of young women.
